Our Schools

At CedarCreek School,our classroom environment is built on love, fun and freedom of expression. Every child’s voice and feelings counts. We employ differentiated teaching and learning approach at all levels where every child’s unique learning style is considered for real learning to place.

Crèche

CedarCreek crèche is unique and it is the foundation of the school. Our rapid growth as a school is a result of the outstanding and excellent service in our creche. It is a serene and warm environment with dedicated and committed caregivers. Children between the ages of 3 months and 15 months are cared for.

Playgroup

Playgroup is a class for children between the ages of 15 months to 24 months.
Learning activities in the playgroup class focuses on language, social, personal and emotional development. Others include sand and water play, colouring, scribbling, rhymes e.t.c. Our target is that before a child leaves our playgroup classes, they are fully potty trained. All of these take place in a conducive, loving and beautiful environment with experienced teachers.

Nursery

The Nursery classes comprises of: Prenursery (2 years – 3 years), Nursery 1 (3 years – 4 years), Nursery 2 (4 years – 5 years). Subjects taught in the Nursery class include Numeracy, Literacy/ Communication & Language, Personal, Social & Emotional Development, Understanding of the world, Expressive Arts and Design, Christian Religious Knowledge. Teaching and learning are child centered and they learn through play, hands on activities and some Montessori materials. Our target is that a child leaving the Nursery works independently and can read fluently. The teachers are warm, caring and committed to bringing out the best in the children.

The Lower Primary

Primary

These are classes for children between the ages of 5 years – 7 years(Primary 1 to 3). The subjects taught include Mathematics, English Language, ICT, Social Studies, History, Geography, Arts, Science, French, Yoruba, Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning etc. In addition, critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication skills are further reinforced.

The Upper Primary

Primary

These are classes for children between the ages of 8 years – 10 years(Primary 4 to 6. The subjects taught include Mathematics, English Language, ICT, Social Studies, History, Geography, Arts, Science, French, Yoruba, Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning, Physical Education etc. Children deepen their understanding of the subjects, communication, collaboration, creativity, communication and are taught to use the knowledge to solve problems. As a school, we guide and encourage positive behaviours at all levels with the cooperation of our parents by sending home behavioural cards over the weekend to get report on the children’s behavior at home.

After School Care

This runs from 2.30pm to 6.00pm for children who are picked up after school hours and this service is basically care, however special arrangements can be made for them to be guided by the teachers to do part of their homework or extra lessons.

Information Technology

Within our curriculum, ICT is at the center of learning. The focus of this is to ensure that children develop from an early stage, the essential literacy and numeracy skills they need to learn in order to provide them with a guaranteed and well rounded teaching which will help to foster their creativity.
